John Oates, half of the dynamic duo - Hall & Oates, co-wrote many of the Top 10 hits for the band and is their guitarist and vocalist, too.  In 2014 John was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Daryl HallBillboard magazine tapped the duo as #15 in their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time and the #1 duo.  As a solo artist, John utilizes his immense talents writing and recording albums that lean towards the realm of Americana and Rhythm & Blues.  Award-winning program director Ray White catches up with John at a solo show in August of 2011 to talk about his solo band, musical interest and styles and his album during that time.  His latest CD is titled, Arkansas and draws upon his interest in Americana and Roots music.  For more information about our show, visit

One of Folk/Rock's leading performers is Shawn Phillips.  His career was launched in the 1960's playing the folk circuit and hooking up with Joni Mitchell, Tim Hardin and Donovan.  Shawn's worked with numerous world-class musicians including Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, George Harrison and Bernie Taupin, throughout his career.  The late rock concert promoter, Bill Graham, called Shawn, "the best kept secret in the music business."  Classic Artists Today's Ray White talks with Shawn about his latest album, Continuance, and about his early years with Donovan.  In our showcase segment, we'll highlight Paul McCartney's latest release - Egypt Station.

Mac McAnally has reached the pinnacle of an outstanding music career, being inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2007 and tapped as Country Music Associations' Musician of the Year 9 times!  Most music lovers know Mac best as a member of Jimmy Buffett's - The Coral Reefer Band, since 1994.  He has written and recorded several dozen songs with Jimmy, throughout the years.  In our July of 2013 interview with Mac, award-winning syndicated radio show host, Ray White, talks with him about his early career, David Geffen and his live album - Live: In Muscle Shoals.  Mac's latest release is titled Southbound: The Orchestra Project.  In our Showcase Segment , we feature the legendary Willie Nelson.  He's won over 37 music awards, and with his new project Last Man Standing, Willie now has 67 studio albums that he's recorded.  Enjoy the songwriting and musicianship of two of the very best in the business, on this episode!!  For additional information visit

Founded in 1975, The Motels were at the forefront of New Wave music in the late 1970's and 1980's.  Lead singer, Martha Davis provided the band with a sultry style that drew a passionate following.  Throughout their career, the band hit worldwide charts with their songs, over 15 times.  Award-winning program director Ray White caught up with Martha before her show in August of 2015 who shared her personal thoughts about making her Beautiful Life album and new projects of the horizon.  The Motels latest album - The Last Few Beautiful Days, is reminiscent of the sound that launched them to stardom.  In our Showcase Segment, Steppenwolf celebrates 50 years in the music business with the release of a new box set including several unreleased songs from the vault.  For more information about our show, visit

Tommy Castro crosses the boundaries of Blues, Rock and R&B music as the leader of his own band since the early 1990's.  He launched his career as a member of Warner Brothers' artists The Dynatones, in the late 1980's.  Winning the 2008 Blues Music Award for Entertainer of the Year, Tommy's won numerous other awards and has played with many legends including B.B. King and John Lee Hooker.  In our April of 2018 interview, Tommy talks with Classic Artists Today's Ray White about his latest album with his band The Painkillers - Stompin' Ground, touring with B.B. Glen Phillips, singer/guitarist/songwriter, launched his professional music career at the age of 15 forming Toad the Wet Sprocket.  By the age of 17, he had a major label recording contract.  Glen's released 6 studio albums with Toad and 4 full-length studio albums as a solo artist.  In our November of 2015 interview, Classic Artists Today's Ray White talks with Glen about his collaboration with Art of Time Ensemble and his solo effort Coyote Sessions.  His latest release is titled Swallowed By The New.  In our showcase segment, we'll feature U2 whose current album is Songs of Experience, the follow up companion album to Songs of Innocence.  For additional information about our show visit

Poco formed in 1968, are a pioneer in country rock music being at the forefront of that genre of music every since.  Throughout the years original members of the band have gone on to play with other iconic bands:  the Eagles, Loggins & Messina and Souther-Hillman-Furay.  Throughout their 50 year history co-founder Rusty Young still remains the patriarch of the band today.  In this episode, he talks with award-winning program director Ray White, about Poco's last studio album, All Fired Up and much more!  Since our interview, Rusty has released his first solo album ever, titled Waiting For The Sun.  In our Showcase Segment, we feature Michael McDonald, who has just released his first new album of original tunes in 17 years - Wide Open.  Michael was in The Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan, earlier in his career.  For more information about our show visit

Gary Wright helped to establish the synthesizer as a leading instrument in rock and pop music in the mid 1970's.  Before launching his solo career, he was an original member of Spooky Tooth with other musicians that went on to play with Foreigner, Humble Pie, and Mott The Hoople.  Throughout his career, Gary played with others including his friend, George Harrison.  Gary's career reached its pinnacle in 1975 with his The Dream Weaver album, which had two singles reach #2 on the charts.  In October of 2010, Classic Artists Today's Ray White talked with Gary about his latest solo album - Connected, along with highlights from his early years.  Gary re-released his 1972 album with Wonderwall titled Ring Of Changes, in the summer of 2016.  In our Spotlight Segment, we feature Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Van Morrison, whose two 2017 albums were Roll With The Punches and Versatile.  Learn more about our show at

Nancy Wilson is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as the co-founder of Heart and now joins Liv Warfield from Prince's New Power Generation in a new band - Roadcase Royale.  Their first album is titled, First Things First.  In Part 2 of our April, 2017 interview with Nancy, 2017 New Music Weekly Magazine's award winning program director, Ray White, talks with her about launching the new band, induction into the Hall of Fame and Heart's last album - Beautiful Broken.  In our "spotlight segment" we feature Canada's mega star, Bryan Adams, who has sold over 75 million records, been nominated for 15 Grammy Awards (taking home one as the winner), and winning 18 Juno Awards - Canada's top musical honor.  Ultimate is the name of his latest album.  Learn more about our program at
