Formed in 1970, The Doobie Brothers have sold 48 million albums and was named to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020.  With hard driving rock rhythms and synchronized vocal harmonies playing a key part of their songs, they were inducted in the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2004.  Multi-award winning program director Ray White sat down with Doobie co-founders Patrick Simmons and Tom Johnston in August of 2012 to talk about the album, that even today, is their last studio album of original songs - World Gone Crazy.  They also talk about reuniting (after 30 years) with the legendary record producer Ted Templeman.  The Doobie Brothers' latest album Live from the Beacon Theatre includes all the songs from their landmark albums Toulouse Street and the Captain And Me.  Celebrating their 50th Anniversary in 2020, they will be touring extensively with their 5-time Grammy award winning vocalist/keyboardist Michael McDonald - reuniting with the band.  A special in-depth look at The Doobie Brothers on this very special show from your friends at Classic Artists Today!
